Choose Your Own Adventure

Posted by Kara Buckner

Since we’re traveling around the world together, I thought you might want to start making some choices are what we do every day.

So, I’m going to start posting polls to get your input.  The first one is for Cologne, Germany — which is my next stop after Luxembourg.

I’m hoping to find a widget that will let you submit options — but that’s Advanced Blogging, so please be patient.  In the meantime, feel free to post a comment if you have any ideas.

Whatever wins is what I’ll do, and then I’ll give you a full report.  Sound good?
This is the only time you’ll ever be able to tell me what to do, and I’ll actually do it.
Oh, and please keep suggestions PG-13.  This is a family show (kind of).

  1. Hi Kara,

You will love Cologne. I have two suggestions for you. First, go visit the Cathedral. It’s an obvious one, but very worth it. After you’ve done that, find a beer hall (I like Fruh am Dom) and feast on some “fleisch platten” while being served an endless supply of really good beer by waiters buzzing around the place with these metal trays that hold the small beer glasses like test tubes. It’s a trip. Have fun.

  2. I agree about the beer hall – anyplace is great and you’ll make a lot of friends. Plus, beer is good.

Where is your next destination? At least do you know what direction? I know a great Automatten Emma in Freiburg…

  4. I remember a beautiful botanical gardens or sort…with yellow buildings in Cologne. I’d have to refer to my diary from 1995 to give you any further direction..so I realize this isn’t much help :) I hope you had a great day!!
