Brussel Bytes
Some snippets ‘n soundbytes from my first full day in Brussels…
I started out with bread and cheese for breakfast. (Very French, oui?)
I ran into a metal pole. Face first. Because I was busy reading my map.
I drank a boatload of Belgian beer.
The beer-consumption occurred after the pole-collision.
Which means I am not a lush (like you thought I was).
It means I am a klutz (which you already knew).
The map that had garnered so much attention earlier in the day mysteriously jumped out of my pocket. So I was lost for several hours.
Which I resolved by stealing a wifi connection. At a pseudo-McDonald’s.
But then I felt guilty. So I bought some french fries.
I learned how to use the city buses. Only to later realize I needed to take the train.
So I could go to a bar for dinner.
Where they only served bread and cheese.
Kara, clearly you need some world-famous Belgian chocolate to go with that beer and metal pole. Trust me, it will make you feel better.

I think you need lot’s of potassium for any aches and pains, due to your collision. And what’s a great source of potassium? Brussels Sprouts!
Wha, wha, whaa.
