Leaving London and C.Y.O.A for Austria

Posted by Kara Buckner

My mom is one of the fortunate few: she arrived in London the day before the airports closed, and took one of the first flights out after they reopened. Plus, she got to spend an entire week hanging out with me.  Lucky lady…

Last night, I stayed with friends in Chiswick Park: Tim and Sarah, and their girls Sophie and Abby.  Abby is 4 years old and informed me earlier today that the letter “W” starts with a “D”… think about it — she’s actually right.

As it turns out, I wasn’t their only house guest.  A visit from Tim’s sister Julia, her husband Michael, and their son Colin was supposed to last a week.  But they’ve now been rebooked 5 times, and stranded for half a month.  They’re scheduled to finally return to the States tomorrow — if all goes according to plan (and as they have learned all too well, that’s a big IF).

Speaking of flying tomorrow, I’m hoping to hop a plane to Vienna — which means you get a chance to participate in another Choose Your Own Adventure poll.
